Music Admissions
If you intend to major or minor in music you must audition for admission into the Department of Music. Specific audition dates are set aside each year to hear auditions for prospective music majors and minors. Click here for more information, including audition dates for 2007-2008 and all other music admissions procedures.
The Department of Music offers the best of both worlds - a conservatory-level program within the context of a Christian liberal arts environment. The music program moves you toward academic and musical excellence within a distinctly Christian environment. You will be equipped with sufficient skill and discernment to become an exceptional Christian scholar, teacher and artist.
Participation in the music program stretches across the whole campus. There are over 100 music majors and minors enrolled at Gordon and nearly 400 students from the 1,600-member student body participate in ensembles taught by over 35 full and part-time faculty and staff. The music faculty includes distinguished teachers, scholars and professional musicians from the Boston area.
