Thirty-two exceptional high school students are spending a mid-summer week at Gordon College, building relationships, developing strengths and exploring real-world issues with their peers from across the country and around the world. From adventure learning on the ropes course to hearing from world-class leaders, these participants in Gordon's Elevate 2013 "leadership lab" are learning what Christ-centered leadership means.
As teams of problem-solvers, the students are analyzing the root causes of a real-world issue community problem, developing a comprehensive plan to address it—and learning leadership strategies in the process. Their week includes time to explore the North Shore, enjoying a night at the beach, navigating the streets of Boston, and watching a Red Sox game.
