The Global Honors Institute is committed to a heightened level of academic and professional excellence during your college journey and beyond. When you join GHI you are joining a community of scholars comprised of scholarship programs for first-year students as well as honors programs for sophomores through seniors.

Honors Programs for Incoming Students

Gordon Honors Institute Fellowship

$2,000 per year | $8,000 over four years
Added to your academic scholarship

The GHI Fellowship is a one-year honors learning community preparing students for future opportunities in the Gordon Honors Institute. In the GHI Fellowship you will receive access to guest speakers, retreats, workshops, honors advising, peer mentoring, and much more. 

In addition to this scholarship, you will receive up to three additional one-time $1,000 funding opportunities through participation in the following areas: $1,000 for research or an internship, $1,000 for study abroad or international travel, and $1,000 for participating in the Jerusalem and Athens Forum or the Civil Rights Seminar

Four-Year Scholars Cohorts

Each program, built on the cohort model, captures innovative facets of Dr. Gordon’s legacy in scholarship, social impact, leadership, and faith. All of these opportunities include leadership development, internship opportunities, mentoring and community engaged learning.

Scholarship Requirements

In order to remain eligible for these scholarships, students must maintain a Gordon 3.3 GPA and active engagement with program components year to year.

Honors Programs for Current Gordon Students

Gordon’s curricular Honors programs challenge qualifying students to extend their undergraduate pursuit at the highest academic level. Students will advance understanding in their academic disciplines and growing faith.

Join a workshop on how to facilitate dialogue across unique experiences to better understand how to love, serve and partner with your neighbors.

Spiritual Formation

Go deeper on a retreat, join peers in studying scripture, and discover new ways of worshipping and communing with God.

Vocational Discernment

Be coached along your career preparation journey by an honors advisor, including personalized support for internships.

Community Engagement

Participate in local cultural experiences and service learning opportunities to broaden your perspective and clarify your purpose.
