Welcome New Physics Students

The new school year has arrived, and with it come new students. After spending the weekend with the rest of their class working hard preparing for their new adventure, the Physics freshman took a break to relax and meet their new colleagues. It is Physics tradition to introduce the freshman to the department with a small engineering challenge. This year they were given a couple feet of pvc pipe and some glue and the goal of building the best marshmallow rocket! They competed in distance and accuracy competitions, then split up for an all out battle. It was an awesome start to the year, and we hope the freshman will enjoy the rest of the coming weeks just as much.
