Do you want to help young children discover, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning? Gordon College’s early childhood education degree prepares you to teach in PK–2 classrooms through evidence-based instruction, field experience, and a strong foundation in child development.

As an early childhood education major, you’ll build the skills to teach in public, private, and charter schools in Massachusetts or around the world. Integrated special education coursework helps you support the learning and development of all children, including those with developmental delays or disabilities.

Want to expand your preparation? You can add a special education minor and graduate with eligibility for dual licensure in both early childhood education and moderate disabilities.

You’ll also complete more than 100 hours of field-based experience before your full-time teaching practicum. These experiences give you opportunities to observe expert teachers, practice instructional strategies, and receive personalized feedback from classroom teachers and Gordon professors.
