Academic Scholarships
Gordon awards merit scholarships based on academic achievement and excellence. These can be renewed annually, as long as you consistently meet grade point average (GPA) requirements.
International Trustees' Scholar Award
$20,000 per year | $80,000 over four years
GPA: 4.0 or
GPA + Tests: 3.7–4.0 GPA + 1170–1600 SAT / 26–36 ACT
International President's Scholar Award
$18,000 per year | $72,000 over four years
GPA: 3.3–3.9 or
GPA + Tests: 3.2–3.69 GPA + 980–1160 SAT / 21–25 ACT
International Provost's Scholar Award
$16,000 per year | $64,000
GPA: 3.29 and below or
GPA + Tests: <3.20 GPA + <980 SAT / <21 ACT
We require international applicants to demonstrate English proficiency with one of the following tests: TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo (available online). Students from English speaking countries or who have been studying in the United States may be eligible to waive the English proficiency test requirement. Check with your admissions counselor for more details.
Honors Institute Scholarships
When you join the Gordon Honors Institute (GHI), you’re committing to a heightened level of academic and vocational excellence during your college journey and beyond. GHI is comprised of honors programs and scholarships for all four years. Learn more about the Gordon Honors Institute →
To be considered for an honors program, complete the Gordon application and Honors application before December 1.
Gordon Honors Institute Fellowship
$2,000 per year | $8,000 over four years
Added to your academic scholarship
One-year honors learning group with extended opportunities across all four years, such as global study, internships and research.
A. J. Gordon Scholars
$25,000 per year | $100,000 over four years
Replaces all other Gordon aid
Four-year scholars cohort cultivating the curiosity and character of emerging scholars and leaders.
Dokes Ministry Scholars
$25,000 per year | $100,000 over four years
Replaces all other Gordon aid
Training students for ministry through a five-year dual-degree opportunity. Students must plan to major in Christian Ministries or Biblical Studies with a desire to attend seminary.
Global Scholars
$28,000 per year | $112,000 over four years
Replaces all other Gordon aid
Four-year scholars cohort equipping thoughtful Christian leaders for lifelong global learning and engagement.
Talent Scholarships
Department of Music Leadership Award and Music Education Honors Award
$26,000 per year | $104,000 over four years
Replaces all other Gordon aid
The Department of Music is pleased to award signature scholarships to 12 incoming music majors each year who demonstrate exceptional musical abilities and who exhibit the potential for musical leadership and service in their field. Music Leadership and Music Education Honors awardees benefit from strong mentoring relationships and a commitment to serving our communities now and in the future. Through the nurturing of their God-given musical gifts and passion, each student will explore their calling through an intentional, personalized approach that undergirds and supports their development as Christian musicians, educators, scholars, and performers.
Requirements:
- Apply to Gordon College and the Department of Music no later than February 16, 2026.
- Perform your audition by February 21
Music Major Scholarship
$2,000–$3,000 per year
Added to your academic scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding abilities in performance and/or who show significant potential as future music educators.
Requirements: Perform your audition by April 15
Music Minor and Musical Theatre Minor Scholarships
$1,000—$2,000 per year
Added to your academic scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate well-rounded musical abilities and a willingness to engage and contribute to the Department of Music.

Ensemble Participation Scholarship
$1,000 per year (based on ensemble participation)

Awarded to students who are not music majors or minors. These are awarded to eligible, incoming students who demonstrate a high level of musical proficiency, and a desire to participate in the Adams School of Music and the Arts ensembles during their time as a Gordon College student.

Art Major Scholarship
$2,000—3,000 per year
Added to your academic scholarship
Awarded to students enrolling as a fine arts major whose art portfolio has been reviewed by the Department of Fine Arts. These awards recognize excellence and the potential to contribute to the arts at Gordon. Students must submit their portfolio by March 1, 2025.
Theatre Major Scholarship
$2,000—3,000 per year
Added to your academic scholarship
Awarded to students enrolling as a theatre major who have auditioned within the Theatre Program. These awards recognize excellence and the potential to contribute to the arts at Gordon.
Requirements: Audition by the end of February 2026.

Church Student Assistance Program
Up to $1,000 per year | Up to $4,000 over four years
Added to your academic scholarship
The Church Student Assistance Program is an opportunity for a church to assist its Gordon students with college costs by giving a minimum of $250. Gordon will match up to $1,000 of their gift. Learn more about the Church Student Assistance Program

On Campus Employment
The Student Employment Office provides students with part-time, temporary and seasonal employment opportunities while enrolled at Gordon College. Visit the following site for more information:

F-1 Visa international students can work up to 20 hours a week during the fall and spring semesters, when school is in session. They can also work up to 40 hours a week during the winter, spring, and summer breaks, when school is not in session. International Student Services helps students obtain a U.S. Social Security Number, after they arrive on campus and secure an on-campus job.
Students in other visa types or statuses are permitted to work up to 40 hours a week at all times, if they hold a valid EAD (Employment Authorization Document) card. Having an EAD card also allows a student to accept off-campus employment for an unlimited number of hours a week.

For international students who are not eligible for federal loans, private or alternative educational loans may be available. Private educational loan programs vary by lender. Please contact specific lenders to find out about terms and conditions that may apply:
