Gordon College
Wenham, MA 01984

The College awards credit for Advanced Placement exams (AP), International Baccalaureate exams (IB), and College Level Examination Program exams (CLEP) according to the following policies:

  • Credit earned from AP, IB, or CLEP exams is considered transfer credit and does not meet residency requirements for the core, major, or minor, nor does it affect a student’s grade point average.
  • A maximum of 32 credits may be awarded for any combination of these exams.
  • Each academic department establishes criteria for placement and credit.  Credit awarded for these exams is reviewed periodically and is subject to change.
  • Duplicate credit will not be awarded for the same Gordon equivalent course.

For more information, please see the programs below.

Effective Fall 2024, a minimum score of 3 is required to earn credit, and all AP exams with a score of 3 will earn elective credit. Credit for scores of 4 or 5 will be awarded according to the linked chart. Score reports must be received by the Registrar's office directly from the College Board.
