Get a taste of how it feels to be a college music student!
This afternoon program gives you the chance to explore our offerings in the performing and fine arts and sit in real music classes, coachings and rehearsals. You will meet with music facutly, staff and current music students to learn firsthand about our attractive music programs and scholarships.
We also offer an interactive session where we will share great tips on how to prepare for your college music audition.

12:45 p.m. | Welcome and Introduction to "Explore Music @ Gordon" by Dr. Sarita Kwok, the Dean of the Adams School of Music and the Arts |
1:15 p.m. | Make your own schedule: Attend different music classes and observe rehearsals and coachings |
1:30 - 3:00 p.m. | Optional Parent Program by Admissions: Meet with Admissions Counselors and Student Financial Services etc. |
3:00 p.m. | Join the Musicianship class: Musicianship is a weekly time set aside for students to develop individual musicianship skills and practice the art of performance |
4:00 p.m. | Make your own schedule: Observe more music classes and coachings or the Women's Choir rehearsal |
5:15 p.m. | Interactive Presentation: How to prepare for your college music audition; Join us for a panel discussion on tips and best practices as you prepare for college music auditions. There will be many helpful hints shared regardless of your instrument or voice type |
6:00 p.m. | Dinner: Join music faculty and current music students; parents and family are welcome |
Parents and family may participate in all activities as space permits – or grab a coffee at the Bistro and enjoy the fall colors on campus.
Extend Your Visit
Gordon Symphonic Band Concert & Overnight Stay
4:00 p.m. | Sunday, October 11
Join us a day early for the free Symphonic Band concert at the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel, followed by an overnight in a residence hall (students only).
Please allow two weeks advanced notice and check "yes" in the Explore Music @ Gordon registration.
Elevated Visit Day
8:00 a.m. | Monday, October 12
Turn your visit into a full day experience by participating in Admissions' morning Elevated Visit Day.
