Advising Team

Jennifer has enjoyed many years working with college students, in residence life, service learning, first-year experience, advising and teaching. She holds a Master of Education from Dalhousie University and is completing a Master of Divinity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. She is particularly interested in vocation, calling, and faith formation, and in the ways a Christian liberal arts education can invite students to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally. She enjoys creating spaces where students can reflect on who they are becoming and how God might be calling them to live and serve in the world. Jennifer has also been involved in Gordon’s vocational formation work through NetVUE, including serving as a Staff Seminar Fellow and helping lead faculty development focused on integrating vocational reflection into teaching and advising.

Academic Advisors

Your Academic Advisor is here to collaborate with you to work out your academic goals and develop your educational plans. All students will be assigned an advisor in their area of study.

Although students are personally responsible for planning out their academic program to meet all graduation requirements, the advisor is there to help students make meaningful choices.  It’s in these advising relationships that students can explore more fully their vocational hopes and consider their life direction, along with sorting out what core and major courses to take in the next semester.

Advisors are available to meet during their regularly scheduled weekly office hours and during specific advising seasons each semester.

Peer Advisors

Sometimes it’s helpful to talk to another student who is also navigating the academic planning process. Peer advising is available for one-on-one meetings to map out your academic plan and address your questions.
