How to Apply

We’ve made applying for financial aid as easy as possible—just follow the 4 steps below. And remember we’re just a click or call away if you need anything.

  STEP 01
Fill out the FAFSA
 
 


A.
Complete the FAFSA form after January 1 (Gordon’s code is 002153).
B. The FAFSA provides Gordon with an assessment of your family’s financial strength and bases its financial aid awards on information from the FAFSA. 

Gordon College no longer requires the Gordon Supplemental Form from financial aid applicants.

  STEP 02
Receive your Award Letter
 
  Award letters will be sent on a rolling basis via mail beginning in February and will tell you how much aid you qualify for—including scholarships, grants, loans and work study. 
  STEP 03
Send in your deposit

 
 
  In order to hold your financial aid award and housing, a nonrefundable $250 deposit is due no later than May 1. Please send it and make it out to Gordon College:

  CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve completed the financial aid application process. The last step is to apply for loans and work study. Detailed information is listed below.
  STEP 04
Apply for loans and work study
   
  In order to receive the loans or work study that you qualify for, you need to apply for them by following these steps:

A. Apply for Stafford
If you receive this award, you’ll need to fill out the Master Promissory Note and complete an entrance interview.
B. Apply for Perkins
C. Apply for PLUS
D. Apply for an Alternative Loan
E. Apply for Work Study once you’re on campus
