Room Decorating Guidelines & What to Bring

Iron and ironing board

Air conditioner

Power strips (UL-listed with circuit protection and physical on/off switch)

Bicycle (lock recommended); *e-Bikes/scooters/uniwheels are restricted on campus

Toaster or toaster oven

Towels and washcloths

Sports equipment (Frisbee, tennis racket, spike ball set, etc.)

Microwave (already provided in the residence hall kitchen)

Blankets, pillows, and fitted sheets for extra long twin mattresses (80"x36")

TV, game system

16 gauge (or smaller) extension cords

Electric fan

Bluetooth speaker/stereo

Candles, incense, or dried flowers

Study/reading light (LED bulbs only)

Small refrigerator (up to 3.6 cubic feet)

Drum set (electric drums with headphones are fine)

Water bottle, mug, tumbler

Sleeping bags and/or hiking gear

Incandescent, CFL, or halogen light bulbs or lamps. Multi-headed lamps. Christmas lights.

Laundry bag/basket and laundry soap; pod type preferred in our machines

Acoustic guitar, hand drum, keyboard

Nails, tape, or tacks to hang things

Toiletries and a small basket/tote

Headphones

"Sticky tack or 3M command hooks for hanging things
(you are still held responsible for any damage to the walls or paint resulting from removal of sticky tack or command strips)"

*e-Bikes, e-scooters, e-Uniwheels and other battery personal vehicles may not be parked, stored or charged in any area of residence halls or campus facilities. Limited sheltered areas for storage are available, and devices cannot be ridden on pedestrian walkways.
