Overview
When you think about making the world a better place, what comes to mind? Access to clean water? Better treatments for cancer? Whatever you’re thinking of requires professional and technical writing (PTW).
Studying professional writing as a minor at Gordon College will connect your passion for a better world with expert instruction on workplace writing. PTW is how the world works; reports that make sense of important events, proposals to secure funding for scientific research and presentations that raise awareness all fall within the scope of PTW.
Why study professional writing at Gordon?
Gordon is home to seasoned writers with a proven track record of publication and years of practical, on-the-job experience. Our faculty are also dedicated Christians who are eager to share their wisdom with students.

What can Christians bring to the field of professional writing?
PTW is all about communicating truth to help people receive the right information at the right time so they can learn and grow. This mission coincides with Christ’s mission to help others thrive and flourish. Through quality writing Christians can be a witness through their words and actions.
