Study Peace and Conflict at Gordon

The School of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Gordon College offers a number of paths and resources to help you fulfill your dream of working to promote peacemaking in a world torn by conflict. There are three programs in our school that are designed to help you understand the causes of violence while preparing you with the tools needed to develop and implement strategies to bring justice, healing and peace: a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution, a BA in philosophy with a concentration in Justice, Peace and Conflict, or the independent minor in Peace and Conflict Studies

These programs are complimented by lectures and grants provided by our Institute for the Study and Practice of Peace. Most of our students also take advantage of our close ties to global programs in peace and conflict. Whether it is a semester studying at the European Center for the Study of War and Peace or a summer course in The Theory and Practice of Peacebuilding in Sri Lanka, our students get hands on experience in global peacemaking.

Whether a global experience in one of these programs or a vibrant internship here at home, students who study peacemaking at Gordon are prepared to bring God's peace to a troubled world. We hope that you will join us in this essential and exciting work.
