Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.

FERPA prohibits an educational institution from disclosing a student's education record without the consent of the eligible student. Generally Gordon College uses the Student Accounts Billing Contract to obtain the name or names of anyone other than the student who is permitted access to his/her student account information.
