    Apply for an Ensemble Scholarship

    Schedule your audition
    To apply for an Ensemble Scholarship, you have to perform a live audition. Complete the online application and schedule your audition by clicking APPLY ONLINE below. You will receive a confirmation email from the Department of Music within three business days of your submission.

    You should only apply for this scholarship if you do NOT intend to be a music major or minor! Before applying for any music audition, you must be accepted to Gordon College. Gordon College admissions application ➔

    About your Audition
    Your audition is 5 minutes in length. An accompanist is not required. For the audition, students are asked to prepare one selection which best demonstrates current performance level on their primary instrument. 

    Recommended selection for Ensemble scholarship auditions
    Please choose a single work that shows your abilities best. We recommend a folk song, art song, music theatre piece, or hymn arrangement.

    Instrumental Ensembles 
    Please choose a single work that shows your abilities best. We recommend a solo piece, movement of a work (concerto, sonata etc.), etude, or orchestral/band excerpt.

    Audition Dates for Fall 2020 Enrollment

    Saturday, November 2, 2019: 10 a.m.– 2 p.m.
    Combine your audition with Explore Gordon.
    Attend our free Faculty Artist Series Concert on November 1 and our Gordon Symphony Concert on November 2. 

    Saturday, December 7, 2019: 12 p.m.–4 p.m.
    Attend our outstanding Christmas Gala on December 6 or 7.
    Combine your audition with Honors Day and Christmas at Gordon on December 6.

    Monday, February 17, 2020: 9 a.m.– 3 p.m.
    Combine your audition with First-Year Fellows Day or a personalized drop-in visit at Gordon.
