Education Minor

The education minor provides a study of the foundations of schooling, teaching, and learning and helps students develop basic teaching strategies to engage learners while delivering content in their area of expertise. This minor is intended for students interested in the areas of:

  • Teaching subjects for which licensure may not required (e.g. Bible or theatre);
  • Exploring education before enrolling in a graduate-level middle/secondary initial licensure program;
  • Becoming a director of an Early Care Center;
  • Youth or children’s ministry;
  • Teaching community-based adult education courses;
  • Conducting professional development or vocational training;

A minimum of 20 credits required, chosen from the courses below.
