How can I live out my faith in the field of education?
Teaching is an act of Christ-like love. The classroom offers Christian educators a place to shine the light and love of Christ. Educators can view their investment in the social-emotional and academic development of students as a means of caring for God’s creation. The impact of education extends beyond classroom, influencing a child’s family, college experience, career trajectory and lifetime earnings.

“This past fall, I began tutoring a few students. I was unsure how to approach our sessions and had no direction or goal in mind for what I wanted to accomplish each week. My Math Methods Lab completely changed how I approach working with these students. Every week, I am given the opportunity to apply what I have been learning in class by planning and teaching appropriate lessons that meet students where they are at in their mathematical thinking and understanding. It is such a valuable experience because it allows me to reflect and receive feedback on my teaching in order to improve the following week. It has not only confirmed my calling to teach students math but has also given me so much confidence in my teaching abilities and furthered my excitement for my career as a future educator.”
