Embracing the New Music Educator

Embracing the New Music Educator is a mentoring program offered through the collaboration of MMEA Northeastern District and Gordon College. ETNME focuses on connectivity: among those who are new to the world of music education; among those who teach in music preparatory programs of colleges and universities; and among those mentors who wish to share their best teaching practices, wisdom and passion. Membership is free of charge to ALL music educators who may benefit from this resource.

Embracing the New Music Educator has a mentoring database of thirty professionals who have volunteered their professional services to young teachers. It is through their time and talent that this program offers onsite classroom observations, onsite rehearsal clinics, mentoring via phone or email, and video or audio review.

Additional Membership Benefits

Embracing the New Music Educator members in their first through third year of teaching, are eligible for discounted registration fees associated with Gordon College’s professional development workshops. The discount applies to participation for graduate credit or professional development points, or no-credit participation.
