Initial Licensure

Registration is open for the 2025 Late Spring & Summer Term. Some courses meet online, some in person, and some hybrid - combining both online and in-person learning. See course schedules and registration information below.

Students may begin taking courses and/or apply to the licensure program at any point in the year. A formal application for program admission is not required in order to enroll in your first two to three courses in the licensure program.

Once a student has completed their first few courses successfully, a program advisor will advise on a manageable and flexible timeline for formal application requirements and materials submission.

Late Spring & Summer Semester 2025

EDU562 Human Development and Learning (3 cr.) *ONLINE
Asynchronous online course.  2 course start options.
Late Spring Sub-Term April 1 - June 22, 2025
Summer Term June 23 - August 31, 2025

The course will be fully online and have asynchronous weekly modules. This means that students will use a variety of digital tools to interact with course content (human development and learning), other class participants, and the course instructor on their own schedule. This is a rigorous course that has deadlines for assignments at least weekly. We hope that not being required to “log in” for class meetings at a specific time will provide the flexibility our students need to continue their coursework amidst the busy schedule of working adults. Opportunities for informal virtual chat (via zoom) with the instructor and other course participants will be available at various times.
