Showing Up First: Aaron Stetson ’02 on Leading with Hope at Hope Force International
When disaster strikes, whether a hurricane in the Caribbean or a tornado in the American South, Aaron Stetson ’02 is often already on a plane. As a leader with Hope Force International—a Brentwood, Tennessee-based global volunteer network trained to meet the needs of disaster survivors—Stetson serves on the front lines of rapid-response disaster relief. Blending logistical service with emotional and spiritual attentiveness, he works to mobilize teams of volunteers to stabilize homes and care for survivors in the aftermath of crisis. In this conversation, Stetson shares how his education at Gordon prepared him for this work and how it reflects a deep conviction: that showing up with humility can be a powerful conduit for hope.
