The Biblical Studies department emphasizes the centrality of the Word of God:

The department offers you a rich variety of courses in Old Testament, New Testament, theology, Greek and Hebrew.

You can also take part in a one-year Bible-at-Gordon program once you have completed a B.A. or B.S. degree or simply desire a year of work in this field.
The faculty members of the department have earned degrees from a variety of scholarly backgrounds. They bring experiences in pastoral ministry, research, scholarship and world travel and seek to serve you not only in the classroom, but also informally through life together at Gordon.
RESPONDING TO THE CALL
Ministry to the world today and service to the Church are stressed. You will be encouraged to make the Bible the emphasis in a broad liberal arts education, enabling you to live effectively and productively for Christ in whatever vocations you choose.
THE GLOBAL EXPERIENCE
Time to pack your bags and books…You can choose among many semester, year, short-term or summer abroad programs around the globe through the Global Education Office (GEO). Tuition for the programs is the same as a regular semester or year on campus. Check out some of the many opportunities:
