Students of the Gordon College Swim Lesson Program work towards four main objectives: water comfort, stroke development, personal growth and having fun!
Class levels are determined by age and current skill level. Swimmers will advance to the next level when criteria in the current level has been met.
Swim lessons are open to the general public as well as the Gordon College community.
Instructors are Gordon College students who are certified swimming instructors. Each instructor tailors his/her swimming curriculum to the class or individual student with the help of the Aquatics Director.
Small-group lessons have no more than six swimmers to one instructor. Classes are Saturday morning (academic year only) OR Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs.
Private and semi-private lessons are offered at the availability of instructors year round. Email the Aquatics Director, Skip Milne at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up private/semi-private lessons.
Our swim lessons are first offered to members of the Gordon College and GCTS communities, and if space allows, registration is opened to the general public. All registrations must be completed in person at the Bennett Center front desk, and payment must be made in full to reserve space in a class. We accept cash or check; no credit cards. We do have a waiting list available; no payment is required to be entered on a waiting list. Register in person; no phone or mail registrations.
