WEST VIRGINIA (Chestnut Mountain Ranch)
We will send a team of motivated students to Morgantown, West Virginia, the home of WVU, to bless and support the ministry staff at Chestnut Mountain Ranch (CMR). CMR is a very special place, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the lives of at-risk juvenile boys.
Founded by a former Metro-Atlanta police office, CMR is dedicated to providing a home and schooling, centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ, to help rescue children that are coming from broken homes and lives.
We are looking for 12-15 students, with a willingness to serve, to travel together to West Virginia to support and bless this ministry. We will be spending the week of spring break at the Ranch in various avenues of service. Service in the past has included construction assistance, general maintenance, custodial work and landscaping, as well as volunteering in the Ranch community thrift store in downtown Morgantown. No prior experience of any kind is needed, simply a passionate heart for the Lord and willingness and desire to bless those in full-time ministry to those less fortunate than ourselves.

ECUADOR
Located in South America, Ecuador is a beautiful country full of beautiful people. We will be serving in Shandia - a small village a few hours away from the capital, Quito. Once in Shandia, we will be working with Pastor Juan Carlos doing service projects, interacting with the community, running a small version of a VBS, and organizing a couple of events for the youth. Most importantly, we will be creating relationships with the people of Shandia. From there we will travel to Quito to work with the Quito Quest team, which helps bring teams to Ecuador. There, we will do service projects on the Quito Quest property and learn about their many ministries. The team in Ecuador doesn't call this a missions trip, but rather a missions experience, because you will be able to grow, learn, and bring back to your community the wonders and beauties you learned while you were away.

ICELAND
This spring break, Gordon College is partnering with Compass, a Christian non-profit organization, to offer a 9-day mission trip to Iceland. Group size is limited to 14 Gordon students.
Reykjavik is the northernmost capital of the world. With a vibrant culture, welcoming society, and incredible landscape, Reykjavik and its neighboring town of Reykjanesbær are also refuges for immigrants and asylum-seekers from many corners of the globe. Compass works with the Salvation Army as they minister to both Icelandic families and those coming from abroad, providing basic provisions through various programs and a church home for anyone in need.
With Compass, you'll join in the work of the Salvation Army, worship in a multi-cultural setting, learn more about Christianity in Scandinavia and have some time for personal rest and renewal, as well. With a bit of providence and some clear skies, you may even catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis!
WALES, UK
Wales is a land filled with history, challenge, and potential. The last great revival began at Moriah Chapel in Wales when a group of people turned to God in fervent prayer. We'll be flying to London and driving (yes, on the left side of the road!) to Wales, where we will be coming alongside the congregation of Jerusalem Baptist Church in their work in the Merthyr Valley. We'll be encouraging them and helping to renovate a church they are building in Aberfan. We'll gain a great understanding of what ministry is like in a post-Christian culture that is also filled with Christian heritage.
While in Wales, the group will also be visiting some amazing historic sites including Cardiff Castle, Caerphilly Castle, and the Big Pit Coal Mining Museum. At the end of the trip, we'll spend two days visiting the sites and museums of London.
