Bio

Dr. Zorangelí Ramos is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in clinical, medical, and community-based settings. Her clinical work focuses on trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions among adults, with particular attention to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care for immigrant and underserved populations. She integrates evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychoeducational interventions.

Her scholarly work centers on migrant mental health, cultural adaptations of evidence-based interventions, and reducing disparities in mental health care. She has collaborated on multiple NIH-funded projects through Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Cambridge Health Alliance, and has published peer-reviewed research on cultural adaptation, health literacy, trauma, and barriers to care.

Dr. Ramos serves as a core faculty member in the graduate Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, with primary responsibility for students’ applied clinical training and supervision. Her teaching spans clinical skills and intervention, ethical and professional formation, multicultural foundations, and the practicum–internship sequence, providing a coherent developmental pathway from foundational competencies to advanced supervised practice.

Dr. Ramos brings a values-informed, experiential approach to teaching and supervision, emphasizing cultural humility, ethical practice, and the professional formation of clinicians prepared to serve diverse communities.
