Yijing Liu

Yijing Liu holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Ohio State University, a master’s degree in environmental science from Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She has extensive experience in water quality research, focusing on environmental microbiology and engineering-based public health protection. Her research interests include wastewater surveillance, water pathogen detection and control, water quantity monitoring, and UV disinfection in water systems. Dr. Liu has conducted field sampling, laboratory analysis, and method development for monitoring waterborne pathogens, UV disinfection in drinking water systems and has mentored undergraduate students in environmental engineering research projects.
