Nora Kirkham

Nora Kirkham is enthusiastic about teaching literature and creative writing through an interdisciplinary and global lens. Her doctoral research focused on religious imagery, mountains, and experiences of place in Anglophone and Japanese women’s writing. Her research interests include post-secularism, ecocriticism and the blue humanities, visual studies, and reading in translation across cultures. She has contributed book chapters and articles to English Studies, The Routledge Companion to Sally Rooney, Transpositions, and Publishing Ireland: Tramp Press and Contemporary Writing. She is the author of the poetry chapbook Landing (Solum Press, 2025). Her short stories and poetry have featured in publications such as The Christian Century, Ruminate, Rock & Sling, Arboreal Magazine, The Windhover, and Tokyo Poetry Journal.
