Bio
Monique Cooper is an accomplished higher-education executive with over a decade of experience advancing student success, academic advising, and career development at large public institutions. Dr. Cooper has overseen the implementation of an integrated academic and career advising model, developed campus-wide strategic plans for employer engagement and experiential learning, and managed over $1.5M in institutional and philanthropic budgets. Within the last two years, she secured more than $1M in donor funding to support workforce development, STEM pathways, and career programming. Her leadership includes cultivating major employer partnerships with organizations such as Amazon, National Grid, Microsoft, Takeda, MathWorks, and the City of Boston
A strategic and data-informed leader, Dr. Cooper’s work focuses on improving student belonging, retention, and post-graduation outcomes through equitable, asset-based practices. She is also a sought-after presenter, keynote speaker, and panelist, contributing to national and regional conferences including NACE, AAC&U, NACADA, NASPAA, EACE, and BIO International.
Dr. Cooper holds a Ph.D. in Learning, Leadership, and Educational Policy from the University of Connecticut, where her research focused on equity-minded career counseling practices. She is a certified résumé writer, and MBTI facilitator, with extensive experience in curriculum development, staff supervision, program assessment, and employer partnerships.
