Emily Lu

Emily Lu, M.P.H., joined Gordon College in 2024, bringing over 20 years of expertise in biostatistical and epidemiological methods, data analysis, and quality improvement. Throughout her career, with a specialized focus on maternal and child health, she has held leadership roles at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. There, she directed the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), led Lean Six Sigma training, and developed real-time data dashboards to drive decision-making and improve health outcomes.

An alumna of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with an MPH, Ms. Lu also serves her local community as a substitute teacher for the Chelsea Public School District. Outside of her professional roles, she is passionate about mentoring and community service. She actively volunteers at a women’s homeless shelter, leading faith-based initiatives to de-stigmatize homelessness and advancing health equity through the integration of education and research.
