Bio
Alexis Lambert is an educator and higher-education professional with nearly a decade of experience supporting diverse learners across K–12 and postsecondary environments. She began her career in middle school special education after earning her B.A. in Psychology from Gordon College and her M.Ed. in Special Education from Salem State University. Her K–12 work focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional disorders, and complex behavioral needs across a range of educational settings, including sub-separate programs and urban public schools.
Since 2021, Alexis has worked in higher education and currently serves as a Graduate Academic Advisor at Northeastern University’s Khoury College of Computer Sciences. In this role, she supports master’s students in STEM disciplines throughout their academic and professional development, with a focus on inclusive advising practices and student belonging. Alexis is also a member of the City of Salem’s Commission for Disabilities, where she collaborates with municipal leaders to strengthen accessibility and foster an inclusive community for residents and visitors alike.
Alexis is currently pursuing her Ed.D. at the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. Her research centers on the lived experiences of graduate students with disabilities in STEM fields, with particular emphasis on reducing disability stigma and addressing student loneliness.
