Spiritual Formation

Overview

Lead with Formational Purpose

Designed for pastors, spiritual directors, lay leaders, and ministry professionals, Gordon College’s Spiritual Formation certificate equips you to cultivate practices of spiritual growth in yourself and in the communities you serve.

This certificate invites students to ask: How do we create space for meaningful spiritual formation? Students will grow in their theological depth, spiritual attentiveness, and practices of formation. Through coursework and dialogue, this certificate equips leaders to more effectively care for the whole person—heart, mind, and soul—while strengthening their own formational wisdom and leadership capacity.

An obtainable certificate

With just 3 courses and 9 credits, our Spiritual Formation certificate is doable. It is also stackable! Following successful program application, the courses completed for this certificate may be applied to Gordon’s Master of Arts in Theology for Community Transformation.
