Meirwyn Walters has taught Business Law in the Economics and Business Department since 1994. Mr. Walters is passionate about connecting substantive classroom topics with real-world applications. He seeks to apply a Christian worldview to understanding God’s expectations for the legal field. A full-time attorney, Mr. Walters’s wide breadth of legal experience informs his approach in the classroom. As partner at WaltersLacey LLP, Mr. Walters represents businesses and private individuals in a variety of matters including business formation, capitalization and growth, due diligence, corporate succession planning and many other legal issues arising in the complex business environment. He also advises clients with respect to their real estate needs ranging from acquisition and sales of land and buildings to leasing and property rights issues. He has a particular interest in construction-related clients. Mr. Walters has served as a commissioner on the Judicial Nominating Commission and is a member of the Essex County Bar Association and the Christian Legal Society. In 2004, Gordon honored him with the Academic Service Award.
