Overview
Communication is critical for a thriving society, and understanding how to convey compelling stories and create meaning in your messaging is essential for engaging any audience.
Gordon College's communication arts major ignites learning through creativity, hands-on experience, strategy and faith. As part of our Adams School of Music and the Arts, you’ll have the opportunity to study the theories and motivations that lead us to communicate and create work built on these things. To enrich your studies, choose from one of two concentrations:
- Digital media: Gain hands-on experience with leading marketing tools and refine your skills to create compelling digital content.
- Strategic communications: Enhance your knowledge by focusing on impactful public relations, brand perception and capturing the ethos of a business.
Why study communication at Gordon?
Thanks to Gordon’s low student-to-faculty ratio, you’ll be mentored by industry-expert faculty and gain first-hand experience working with a range of media. You’ll have the chance to connect with professionals in the field to strengthen your skills and expand your abilities.
What can Christians bring to the field of communications?
Our world is more connected than it’s ever been, thanks to digital media. But in other ways life feels more disconnected than ever. Christians can use their communication skills to shed light on truth, unpack stories from a place of compassion and encourage open, generous dialog.
