She's being called to the mission field. She can't wait to thank you.
Marta Padilla says she "can't remember a time when I thought I would remain in the United States to live and work as a professional. There is so much need beyond our borders, so many people to reach out to." A senior social work major who is also a standout athlete, Marta is as dedicated to people in need as she is to being a winner on the sports field. By the end of her junior year she will have participated in five mission trips, and she has every intention of becoming a full-time missionary after she graduates. Marta is thankful for alumni giving that made it possible for her to attend Gordon--and educational experience that confirmed her call to the mission field.
"Wherever I end up as a missionary, I will always remember the generous alumni who helped me get there, and I plan to give back what I can as an alumna myself."

A future in medicine. A heart of thanks.
If his college experience is any indication, Manuel Jusino's future holds great promise. While majoring in premedicine with a concentration in neuroscience, he also minored in chemistry. He assisted Dr. Bryan Auday with directing Gordon's neuroscience program for inner-city high school students. He spent a semester at the University of Hong Kong, a summer at Yale Medical School, and participated in international tours with the Gordon Wind Ensemble. His goal is to become a medical doctor, but his passion is to serve people in need. What drives Manuel is a thankful heart overflowing with gratitude for alumni who made his education possible--a spirit of giving he intends to emulate himself.
"Giving from alumni made it possible to pursue my career goals. I can't help but give likewise."

She made the grade. You made her day.
Kirsten Heacock, who majored in biblical studies and history, is blessed with a strong intellect and a heart for God. She is a rising scholar with big dreams to pursue a Ph.D. and teach at the college level. She was a teaching assistant for Dr. Marv Wilson and helped President and Mrs. Carlberg teach first-year seminar. She has studied abroad and has a heart for service here at home. Most of all, Kirsten wants to impact her world for Christ. She credits Gordon faculty for her academic success. She thanks Gordon alumni for making her day--Graduation Day--a reality.
"I am thankful to alumni who gave toward my education, and I plan to do the same for future Gordon students."

She got a job in the Governor's Office. She couldn't have done it without you.
Like any Gordon student, Liz Lascaze had high aspirations for her future. So when the opportunity came to serve as an executive assistant in the Massachusetts Governor's Office, she was eager for the challenge. Her years of study as a sociology major deepened her resolve to make a difference. Her personal experience as a student who depended on financial aid also taught her the importance of helping people just as others helped her--including Gordon alumni she had never met whose financial support allowed her to finish college. Now, as an alumna herself, Liz is giving back too.
"I hope you will join me in supporting current students, just as alumni who gave helped you and me."
