Westmont San Francisco

San Francisco is the setting for urban study and internship opportunities through Westmont College. Examine questions of faith in a vibrant city with a small community of students and faculty mentors. An example could include exploring various worship styles through attending ethnic churches and different denominations. In addition, there are many enriching opportunities through urban ministries and volunteer programs.

A key part of the program is your placement in professional internships, available in every academic major. Participating organizations include:

  • Amnesty International
  • KPIX television
  • Larkin Street Youth Services
  • Morgan Stanley Investments
  • San Francisco General Hospital
  • Many more

What subject have you always wanted to explore in depth? You can learn more about it through an independent study project that you create with the guidance from a faculty advisor.

  • Have their advisor’s approval
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Have at least Sophomore standing at time of application

Students' normal scholarships from Gordon apply for one semester of study "abroad."

See the Westmont Urban Semester homepage for further details.
