Students majoring in Music (BA) may elect to complete a concentration in Composition. These courses will count towards the music electives requirement in the major.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BACHELOR OF ARTS IN MUSIC
Students pursuing this degree must complete the following courses (124 credits) plus:
The full Core Curriculum (the core Fine Arts requirement must be fulfilled by a non-music Fine Arts core option.)
Eight semesters of ensemble participation are required. The following ensembles may be applied:
MUS 250 - College Choir (Credits: 0 or 1 variable credit)
MUS 251 - Symphonic Band (Credits: 0 or 1 variable credit)
MUS 252 - Men's Choir (Credits:0 or 1 variable credit)
MUS 253 - Gordon Symphony Orchestra (Credits:0 or 1 variable credit)
MUS 254 - Women's Choir (Credits: 0 or 1 variable credit)
MUS 258 - Wind Ensemble (Credits: 0 or 1 variable credit)
