Post Baccalaureate Initial License in Music
This program is designed for those who have completed a baccalaureate degree program in a discipline other than music education. The program leads to eligibility for the Initial License in Music, enabling participants to secure K-12 music teaching positions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts public schools.
The course schedule is meant to meet the needs of working professionals, career changers and current educators, with convenient meeting times in the evenings, and during the summer term.
12-Credit Option for Professional License in Music
This program is designed for music educators who already have their Initial License, and hold a Master's Degree in another discipline other than music education. Upon completion of 12 credits of coursework drawn from the Master of Music Education curriculum, students will be eligible for Professional Licensure.
Courses meet during the summer term and provide an opportunity for Licensure students to interact with and learn from faculty and colleagues who are part of the Master of Music Education program.
