This course will survey the elements, historical background and styles of Black music in America. Applicable to music educators of all disciplines, K-12.

Class meets live via Zoom on 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings; asynchronous content and self-paced digital engagement are provided using CANVAS, Gordon College's digital learning management system.

Participants have the opportunity to earn graduate credit, explore a topic of interest, and to join with all other program participants, colleagues, and clinicians on campus for dinner and lunch, included with the cost of registration.
