ADK Staff Application

2014 APPLICATION UPDATE: Applications for the 2014 season are due December 13, 2013. Please note that applications will not be considered until all materials (online application found below, essay questions, 3 recommendations) are received by the La Vida Office. If you are interested in applying to work with the ADK Program, please contact the Director by

Applications are now being accepted for all staff positions within the Adirondack program. Please fill out the application below and submit before December 13, 2013. Upon completion, applicants will receive an email from the ADK Director with further instructions including essay questions. After submitting this application, please distribute the staff recommendation form link to three people who are familiar with your work, ministry and character. Your application will not be complete without these recommendations. Returning staff do not need to have recommendation forms filled out. For more information about La Vida ADK staff positions, please the director.

La Vida will now REQUIRE all eligible staff to obtain their Gordon College van license. Those who are ineligible will be excluded from this requirement. If staff are eligible, and they do NOT obtain their license, their pay will be docked $200.

Staffing Dates:

  • May College Expeditions: May 15–30, 2014
  • Summer ADK Staff: June 1–August 3, 2014
  • August College Expeditions: August 4–22, 2014
  • Other Opportunities: depending on need, staff might be hired for the following dates (typically the Summer ADK Staff can meet the needs of the below trips, but if enrollment is high, extra staff need to be hired) 
    • June College Expeditions: June 22–July 5, 2014
    • July College Expeditions: July 6–19, 2014
    • Late July College Expeditions: July 20–August 2, 2014

You will need to send three people a link to the ADK Staff Recommendation Form in order to complete your application. This link can be found on this page or in the application email sent by the ADK director. These people should be familiar with your work and have been in a position to evaluate you in areas relevant to working at La Vida. Please no family. Possible recommenders include: coach, boss, youth pastor, RD, RA, Professor, Advisor, Mentor, Etc.
