Faith M. Lueth, conductor
The Gordon College Women's Choir is one of the major ensembles of the Music Department. This auditioned group of 40-50 singers performs in concerts throughout the school year, most notably at the annual Christmas Gala and Pops Concert. The Women's Choir is directed by Faith Lueth who has consistenly been recognized as one of the top music educators in Massachusetts. Lueth is an active member of National Association of Music Educators (MENC) and American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and is in high demand as a lecturer, clinician and conductor.
One of the most meaningful events in the Women's Choir performance schedule is the North Shore's annual Holocaust Memorial Service. Every April the Choir joins with the community in remembering the many innocent people killed in this most tragic of world events. This Yom Hashoah service is part of an ongoing initiative made by Gordon Old Testament professor Dr. Marvin Wilson to promote dialogue and interaction between the Jewish and Christian faiths.
