Joshua Nannestad, conductor
The Gordon College Choir is Gordon's premier touring choral group. The choir regularly tours New England and the east coast performing a variety of standard choral and major choral orchestral literature.
Members of the Gordon College Choir are selected annually through a competitive audition process. The group is known for its strong harmonies and powerful, emotive interpretations of pieces. Each year the group performs in the Gordon Christmas Gala, one of the largest and most popular musical performances in the greater Boston area.
The choir was featured in the Public Broadcasting System television special Jews and Christians: A Journey of Faith that has aired in the United States since 2001. Besides touring domestically, the choir has completed several international concert tours, including tours of Central Europe, with performances in Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, and Budapest. The choir most recently toured Central Italy.
Past performance venues have included the National Cathedral, the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel, the Beethoven Haus in Bönn, Germany, the Salzburg Dom, Il Duomo in Florence and the Lady Chapel of the Black Madonna in Einsiedeln, Switzerland.
