Gordon's undergraduate education programs are field-based, grounded in the liberal arts and built upon a Christian philosophy. The programs promote holistic learning by:

  • Integrating faith and learning
  • Sending you into area classrooms for field experience during your freshman year
  • Requiring you to choose one of the approved liberal arts as a second major

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Gordon's programs are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Higher Education Coordinating Council and the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC). Gordon is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Completion of any of the undergraduate teacher education programs allows you to be eligible for:

  • An initial Massachusetts teaching license
  • A comparable initial teaching license in more than 40 states and US territories

TRENDSETTING APPROACH TO READING
The Education Department practices a philosophy of teaching that is setting a benchmark of excellence across the nation. The methods for teaching reading in particular employ a systematic approach that is based on scientific research and has proven effective in classrooms.
