CISI Travel Insurance
Why CISI?
Gordon College in cooperation with Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) and the ACE American Insurance Company is pleased to offer health and safety insurance to all participants (students, faculty and staff) in Gordon College’s international programs and placements.
This insurance is required of all Gordon College students engaged in an official capacity with academic, mission or representative responsibilities in any international location. It is optional, but encouraged for faculty and staff members accompanying students on these experiences or during periods of time when a faculty or staff members may be individually on official Gordon College business. Participants may also sign-up individually for coverage of up to one month of personal travel before or after the sponsored program dates.
The cost of the coverage (see below for details of coverage) is $35 per month, with a minimum payment of one month. This insurance becomes the primary coverage for the carrier whenever it is active. Costs will be billed directly to the student account along with other semester charges.
CISI maintains a 24-hour assistance line for coverage support in finding qualified doctors in any part of the world, However, the student is not required to seek pre-approval for treatment. There is no penalty for visiting a non-network doctor, a private doctor, or a clinic operating outside the socialized system of a country or the network of qualified personnel. A client is allowed to seek services wherever they are comfortable.
