Gordon College is committed to the residential college experience. We believe that living in community in a residence hall can be one of the most transformative aspects of your college experience. You have the opportunity to develop relationships, learn from those who are different from you and integrate your faith and what you are learning in the classroom with your everyday experiences.
The Residence Life staff is made up of RDs, RAs, and ACs seeking to glorify God through the cultivation of an intentional Christian community. A few notes about our mission: We desire to glorify God, reflecting His truth, beauty, goodness and love in all our relationships, programs and services. We recognize that relationships can be messy and living in community is hard work, community needs to be cultivated. We are intentionally Christian and gospel centered; the gospel of Jesus Christ shapes every aspect of our program.
In cultivating this intentional Christian community, we desire to help students GROW in their understanding of the gospel, their identity and vocation. We want our students to EXPERIENCE community by developing relationships, living authentically, acquiring practical skills, appreciating diversity and cultivating character. Finally, we desire that our residents learn how to faithfully SERVE their neighbor, community and world. Grow. Experience. Serve.
I invite you to invest in this community and allow it to shape who you are as we seek Christ together.
In Christ,
Michael Curtis
Director of Residence Life at Gordon College
