The Center for Faith and Inquiry is devoted to promoting vibrant faith and serious intellectual life. It is located on the campus of Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
The Center for Faith and Inquiry is dedicated to promoting first-order scholarship, reflection, creativity, and conversation, drawing from Christian intellectual and spiritual traditions, the various academic disciplines, and the wisdom found in societies and cultures at large. The insights and ideas derived from our work aim to serve Gordon College, the Body of Christ, and the common good.
The Center for Faith and Inquiry (CFI) was originally named the Center for Christian Studies (CCS). It was founded at Gordon College in 1994 under the leadership of then Provost Stan Gaede and Harold Heie, who returned from Messiah College to Gordon (where he taught mathematics from 1975 to 1980) to serve as the Founding Director.
