We offer several membership types as part of our Strength For Life programming, some including one-on-one support as well as independent single and family memberships. Memberships are non-contractual and you may close your membership at any time. If needed, you may also place your membership on hold for up to three months for any reason without penalty. Holds are extended for documented medical reasons with a doctor’s note. Additionally, annual membership fees paid in full and family memberships will be discounted, giving one month free annually!
Most major insurance carriers also offer an insurance reimbursement for your gym membership with us. Annual stipends vary by the insurance company, but they're usually in the range of $150–200 per year and we can help you claim your fitness center reimbursement as part of your membership.
We encourage prospective members to call, visit, talk with our team and try the CBMW free for seven days. Sign up to enjoy one-week access to our facility, free of charge! Our hands-on approach to medically-based wellness means we have a distinct system that includes a detailed wellness assessment for each incoming member. The assessment is directly followed by goal-setting, program design, instruction and repeated progress measurement, including updates to a member’s wellness program design and medical charting throughout his or her time with us. As an incoming member at the CBMW, there are three easy steps we employ to initiate and support your wellness journey with us.
Step 1: Information gathering, assessment, and consent
We collect information and consent from your general practitioner, cardiologist, neurologist or other physicians before we schedule your assessment. Once this has been received, we perform an in-depth wellness assessment to gather baseline functional performance data, establish your wellness goals and recommend the CBMW membership type that is best for you. If medical concerns arise from the assessment, we communicate this with your healthcare provider, seeking direction where necessary, thus ensuring safe program design.
Step 2: Membership discussion, goal-setting, program design and instruction
Once the assessment is complete, we meet with you again to discuss results, set goals, discuss the benefits of membership, establish your membership type, then begin to design and teach the wellness program. At the end of this session, we will arrange a third meeting to finish teaching the wellness program and answer any questions you might have.
Program design at the CBMW follows a progressive model and includes components of static and dynamic balance, strength, power, flexibility, agility, stability, cardiovascular system enhancement and corrective exercise, along with basic components of nutrition. The specific frequency, intensity, time and type of these program components will be dictated by the results of our assessments in order to ensure progress, successful outcomes and safe progression.
Step 3: Support for success, member check-ins, and re-assessments
We are in contact with each of our members once a month in order to check on their progress, ensure their needs are met and answer their questions. Every three months as long as you are willing/able to participate, you will be invited back for a re-assessment at no cost. In the re-assessment, progress is measured, new goals may be set, existing goals may be adjusted and any new medical information will be obtained. If necessary, assessment results may lead to programmatic adjustments.
