Benefits

The comprehensive and competitive benefit plans offered by Gordon College reflect the College's commitment to the present and future health and welfare of its employees and their families. Benefits are an important component of your compensation and may have a value of up to 40% of your salary. We hope the information provided on these pages will help you become familiar with Gordon's many benefits. Please contact Human Resources if you have further questions.

Eligibility

Eligibility for most benefits is determined by the number of hours worked over a 12 month period. A benefits eligible employee is defined as an employee who works a minimum of 1270 hours annually on a continuing basis in a regular, budgeted position. Some benefits may be prorated for employees working less than fulltime. If your employment begins on the first of the month, you are immediately eligible to enroll in Gordon's benefits. Otherwise, your eligibility begins on the first day of the following month. See the Staff Handbook for further details.

Life Event Benefit Changes

From time to time, changes in your family situation, such as marriage, a birth or death, or a change in your spouse's employment, may necessitate a change in your benefits. Please contact Human Resources for guidelines and procedure.
