Digital Marketing and Communications

Do you love strategizing? Are you often coming up with new ways of doing things and using research to make yourself stand out? Or maybe you love to create—your eye is always drawn to colorful brands and logos, clever captions, immersive videos or beautiful websites. In the digital marketing industry, strategy and creativity are highly sought after by companies—especially when someone has both. A mix of business acumen and creative thinking are key to building valuable relationships with customers, stakeholders and employees. If you want a dynamic and impactful career, the digital marketing and communications major will prepare you to set yourself apart in the marketplace through excellent strategy and content creation.

Why digital marketing and communications at Gordon?

Successful marketing projects bring together two distinct categories: business strategy and content creation. It’s common in this industry to develop skills in one of these tracks and collaborate with people skilled in the other category. But Gordon’s major allows you to master both skillsets, with an interwoven understanding of market development and practices as well as the technology and design for various digital channels.

With this major you will be prepared to take on the real world, where a business strategy is only as good as its creative implementation. You will also learn to think ethically and critically as Christians, since our instructional model integrates faith into every class and discipline. You will learn from the intentional mentoring of your professors, who are digital marketing and communications experts, to develop winning marketing strategies and create deliverables to execute them. With our location on the North Shore of Boston, and alumni connections in organizations like Lightmark Creative, Disney, Hubspot, Alcon Entertainment and more, you will have access to multiple pathways for internship and career connections.

In addition, Gordon is an Authorized Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) Partner, meaning you receive DMI credentials upon successful course completion, giving you a leg up in the digital marketing world.
