¿Te encanta la lengua española? ¿Quieres conocer la cultura hispana más a fondo? Through the Spanish program at Gordon, you will work to achieve language proficiency as you also study the historical development and cultural expression of Spanish-speaking countries. Opportunities to study in Spain, and Central and South America offer immersion experiences that can take your communication skills to the next level.
At Gordon, Spanish majors study abroad for a minimum of one semester—and because we are committed to global exposure as a crucial component of learning, your financial aid package applies to Gordon-approved programs. Your professors, who are fluent speakers and published authors, are committed to helping you prepare for this semester- or year-long immersion experience. During semesters when you study on campus, Gordon’s location in the multicultural Greater Boston area offers opportunities for involvement in local Spanish-speaking communities and church congregations
Knowing a foreign language well is an advantage in any job, and an optional internship will bolster your resume and your confidence. Your proficiency in Spanish will prove beneficial in a wide variety of careers, including:
