International Student Orientation

August 14 – August 19, 2026

From airport pick-up and move-on, to a series of friendship-building activities, the purpose of the International Student Orientation is to provide new international students with the foundation for academic success and overall well-being. We do this by facilitating meaningful connections, cultivating early community, and promoting character formation through workshops, reflective outdoor learning, and exploration. By the end of orientation, we hope students feel connected, informed, and ready to thrive.

What you will gain from ISO Orientation:

Social Connections: You will get to connect with our ISO family and start building lasting friendships and support networks.

Build Confidence: You will feel more confident navigating campus, campus resources, and the surrounding area.

Practical & Legal Guidance: You will be more aware of visa rules, work regulations (on-campus jobs), and nearby services like banking and how to get a U.S. phone line.

New Student Welcome Week

This is the General Orientation for all students that international students will join.

Please bookmark the Gordon College Four-Year Academic Calendar for the exact dates of important events like the first day of class and the last day of final exams. Final exam dates and times are not flexible; do not book travel before your final exams are completed.
