Abby has been shaped by her experiences in Ecuador South America where she spent seven years working with an adventure education retreat center called El Refugio located near the capital city of Quito. Her experiences leading wilderness trips, ministering to local Ecuadorians, and living in a different culture have fueled her passion for facilitating similar experiences with La Vida participants and staff. She is excited for the chance to grow the Adventure Pursuits program here at Gordon College which offers personal and group development opportunities to local schools, churches and businesses as well as leadership development experiences for Gordon students.

Amber grew up going to recreational summer camps through her church but was not introduced to the wilderness until La Vida. She followed the Lord’s call to be involved with the program last summer. Amber led four trips in the Adirondacks and wants to continue expanding her knowledge of the outdoors through more training. She is trained in Wilderness Advanced First Aid. Amber is also a photographer and enjoys shooting all of the new places she is experiencing on the East Coast.
