GORP (Gordon Outdoor Recreation Project) designs challenging course experiences in order to provide adventure learning opportunities for individuals and strengthen the mission and goals of youth/young adult programs. The GORP program provides Gordon students with leadership and training opportunities in order to develop their own group facilitation and challenge course skills.

After each challenge there is a processing session to help participants personalize the experience in words and concrete lessons. This transfer of learning is the power of the GORP experience. It is our hope and purpose that the lessons from these experiences will be applied to future goals and life experiences.

What About Safety?
GORP is not a normal, everyday type of experience. However, all physical challenges are well within safety limits, and standard safety procedures are strictly enforced. All participants are required to complete a risk-release form and a basic medical history form.
